A winter garden wonder. This study of a Hellebore has been made from the pages of an old botanical book, wire and thread. Each petal has been hand cut and painted using watercolours. The stamen have been made using paper and wire and then bound together with the petals to create the flower head. 
 
The frames are handmade for each display from solid wood and glass. This particular frame has been made from Oak which has been oxidised to create the dark colouring and then oiled. It has a wire on the back so it is ready to hang from a hook in the wall.
 
In order to keep your piece looking its best, hang it away from direct sunlight and avoid areas where there is a lot of moisture such as in a bathroom.
