I was sent a photograph of a collection of real sea weed a family had gathered while on holiday in New England. I was asked if I could recreate it in paper as a way of documenting their finds and the memories of their time away together. I used a range of techniques to create this collection, including paper mache which was used to create the paper shell. I found broken book pages that related to the sea to tie in with the theme as well.
